Mexican Wedding Dress
This beautiful 1960s peasant-style dress by designer Georgia Charuhas is perfection. Charuhas was born in Chicago but fell in love with Mexico and moved there as a single woman in the 60's! She recreated classic Mexican wedding dresses with a 60's American flair.
The dress is black cotton with pintucks throughout, an embroidered inlay at the bust and crochet accents at the neckline, cuffs, waist, and hemline. The dress features a full skirt which could be worn with a crinoline and a center back zipper. The zipper is plastic with metal "IDEAL" zipperhead, it might not be original. The black fabric is slightly sun damaged along the sleeves
